If you're a golfer, you've probably heard the expression, "90% of the game is mental." Well, the same holds true for the game of life. Unfortunately, most of us do not practice this all-important craft that separates the champions or, as we call them, "The One-Percenters" from the also-rans.
There is also a saying, "Golf's future is in the past. The classic swing method is the most natural for the weekend golfer, and I subscribe to it completely. I drill my students with the basics as I shape the fundamentals around their physique and ability. We then build a game based on reality favoring their strengths - so the game is fun. We "Keep It Simple."
I bring 40 years on the lesson tee and personal tips from two past U.S. Open Champions, Lee Trevino and Tony Manero. Members have told me of prestigious country clubs that their instructors never shared such tips with them.
When a student had difficulty with execution, I would hit the workbench and build a swing aid to shape the action they were struggling with. G.O.L.F. has since become an affiliate of, GolfTrainingAids.com. Check them out. They have many highly effective training aids.
In life coaching, I do the same. When a student is having difficulty with execution, I go to my spiritual workbench and listen to the sound of my silence. Each of our life training assessments is developed through this discipline. As our students "Find Their Games," we further build around their strengths using Clifton Strengths Finder, with which we are an affiliate*.
Our mental game for life is the same for golf. Our students are taught to practice the mental game by participating rather than anticipating life. Both games fall into place as the mind shapes focused disciplines and reflexes. We will launch a life and golf podcast called "Cuz On The Course" in March 2023, demonstrating the parallels between the two games.
Below is a link to a 1968 Sports Illustrated article by 2 Time U.S. Open Champion (1952 & 1963) Julius Boros entitled, "My Easygoing Game." I strongly, strongly suggest it be downloaded, then read and re-read. Julius was without question the most relaxed and easygoing golfer to ever play the game on the P.G.A. Tour. Apply his approach to golf to your life, and you will undoubtedly improve both games greatly.
Our Life Coaching and Training Assessments have been custom-developed. They have been put through rigorous clinical trials and tested personally. Our goal is to develop a "Whole, Balanced, and Complete" person, Physically, Emotionally, Spiritually, Intellectually, Financially, and Socially. THEY WILL WORK IF YOU WORK THEM and DO WHAT MOST WON'T!
Our Custom Golf Coaching Training Aids and Training Assessments have been put through personal testing to ensure our students achieve their desired outcomes.

I was putting in some accountability time over breakfast with two buddies when my phone rang. Upon seeing who it was, I answered saying, “Cuz!” The friend calling grew up in the same area of town I did and referring to some people as “Cuz” was a term of endearment of sorts. I took the call since the two guys I was meeting with knew the caller. So I put him on speaker, and we all chatted for a couple of minutes.
Upon hanging up, we went back to our conversation about what else but golf. It was a Saturday morning, and I was commenting about a couple of instances from the first two rounds of that week's tournament. One of my buddies who works for a well-known cable news network said, “You ought to be a commentator. I could hear them saying, “Let’s go out to ‘Cuz’ on the course.”
Having thought about going live with our life and golf tips for a number of years, after our breakfast, I thought it was time to walk through the fear and procrastination and Just Do It.
In “Keeping It Simple” we’re planning to begin “Cuz” On the Course” sometime during March.
