COMMUNITY and AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRMEN SERVICING, C.A.R.S. is an automotive outreach to the local community serving single moms in three areas…

The Repair Service provides basic oil change and safety check service for single moms and widows from the local community by appointment only. We are always looking for mechanically inclined volunteers to work on these cars from 9:00am until 12:00pm on the 3rd. Saturday of each month.

The Cars Donation Outreach accepts cars to be given to needy single moms. As you can imagine, there is always a high demand for this service, so cars are distributed to active members of the congregation first.  We are always looking for cars if you are so led to donate yours. 

The Caring While We’re Repairing provides breakfast, fellowship, life skill classes, Bible studies and a place to network with other people who are waiting for their cars to be serviced. Food is served from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon.

Youth Training Component Thanks to our head mechanic Matt Myslinski and Brian Aiken of Norwalk Urban Young Life, we have begun training inner-city youth who show potential in the art of auto mechanics and auto body repair. This will be the kickoff outreach to a complete life development program teaching basic life skills and the basics of handling money and running a business. The motto for this outreach will be Changing Environments Through A Life Of Excellence. If you are a business person and would like information on how you may participate.

II. THE MISSION & GOALS

The Mission Is Two-Fold

1. To reach out to singles Mom’s by offering a simple oil  & filter change quarterly along with an initial safety inspection and give them a place to connect with other women who let them know they are there for them with the needs and desires of their lives and to offer them training on becoming prosperous in this ever changing world..
2. To connect with inner-city youth who might want to learn trades from suburban men who have a passion for helping these young people kick their lives up a notch by eventually changing their environments through a life of excellence.
